Therapy for Thread Veins and Rosacea Cheshire
Thread veins, spider veins, Telangiectasia, Campbell de morgon spots, Rosacea amongst others is a skin concern which is usually a cosmetic issue and is frequently not a medical condition. People with this concern usually feel the need to cover up these imperfections because they can be very self-conscious and it is adversely affecting their confidence.
These veins occur when the valves that are found inside our veins stop working properly. Veins found on the face are often the results of the bursting of tiny blood vessels. Although these are natural occurrences, sun damage and increased pressure on your body parts can cause thread veins.
Rosacea is a similar condition to thread veins; they occur when certain facial blood vessels enlarge, giving the carrier a rosy, flushed appearance to the face which can be seen in different densities and depths. While both of these conditions are very apparent, it is no surprise that we get approached by so many clients who wish to reduce the appearance of both.
Here at Clinic 10, we can provide our clients with a long term solution to skin concerns such as red flushing (Rosacea), thread veins and red spots in just a few quick and easy treatments. Our IPL treatments are non-invasive, bare no downtime and minimal side effects, as well as achieve exceptional results when reducing the appearance of several skin concerns.
Our Intense Pulse Light Therapy Service Process
A consultation procedure prior to the treatment is compulsory. The consultation is conducted by our clinician, and you will be required to provide us with a medical history so that we can confirm that you are suitable for your chosen treatment. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to voice any concerns or questions that you may have.
A patch test is also required before any treatment. Our consultations are usually informal but thorough. Before proceeding, you will be asked to sign a consent form; this consultation form will be sent to you upon booking through our website.
We are a team of dedicated, and fully qualified and experienced clinicians who all have the same goal as you: to meet your desired results. Like you, we want you to feel confident in your skin, so we will make it our mission to exceed your expectations in doing so.

IPL Treatments fAQ
How Do The IPL Treatments Work?
Light energy is applied to the skin where it is readily absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to a point where they are destroyed. Following treatment, the vessels quickly clear as they are reabsorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.
How Are IPL Treatments Carried Out?
The light applicator is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The applicator is moved to the neighbouring area and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated. During treatment, protective eyewear will be provided.
Am I Suitable For IPL Treatments?
Treatment is suitable for most people subject to consultation
How Does IPL Therapy Feel?
Treatment is mildly uncomfortable but there is no need for anaesthesia and the procedure is really quick. Sensations vary but most describe it as a very quick hot pinprick or a flicking sensation.
Are There Any Side Effects?
After treatment, the area may feel warm for a few hours. Rarely, some delicate skin areas such as the cheek, under the eyes or décolleté can be red and slightly swollen for up to 48 hours. Though very rare, there is a chance a small blister may form and there could be temporary lightening or darkening of the skin.
How Long Does Each Treatment Take?
Treatments typically take from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the type and size of the lesion.
Which Types of Veins Can Be Treated?
Most red skin lesions, including thread veins, rosacea, spider naevi, and port wine stains and more can be treated very successfully. Depending on the lesions, leg vessels can also respond really well to treatment.
How Many IPL Treatments Are Necessary?
Typically 2 to 6 treatments are needed for optimum results, though small lesions may clear in just a single session. Repeat treatments are spaced every 4 to 6 weeks.
Consultation Procedure Prior to treatment you must first undergo a consultation where details about your medical history are obtained in order to confirm suitability. Before proceeding you will be asked to sign a consent form and undergo a test patch.
